The location search starts with the treatment. Architecture, residential streets, offices and interiors each bring a different set of production questions. We look at access and the working day while the creative options are still open.
Loading, unit parking, cast holding and equipment moves can shape a city shoot. We coordinate with location owners and the relevant authorities on access, permits and the impact on neighbours and businesses.

For Samsung’s campaign with Erling Haaland at Sommerro in Oslo, Billy Budd handled local production, bringing together the location, crew, permits and logistics.
It is the same set of practical responsibilities we discuss with an incoming production: what is already in place, what needs to be sourced locally and who is responsible for each part of the day.

Put the team together
We arrange local film crew in Oslo around the incoming team and the work on screen. Casting, art department, camera, lighting and grip are considered together, so the location and the crew plan support the same brief.
Equipment availability and preparation need to be settled before the shooting day. We coordinate rental, collection and transport, including any equipment travelling with the international team. The package follows the shot requirements and the location’s practical limits.
Keep the day realistic
Production management connects the shooting plan to the budget. Crew calls, cast movements, location access and company moves need to fit together before the call sheet is issued.
Transport and accommodation are planned around where people need to be. A city address alone says little about how easily a unit can load in or move between locations. Those details belong in prep.
If the brief also needs the coast or mountains, we can discuss that as a separate leg of the production. Travel days and location moves should be visible in the plan from the start.
